Jessica Khachani, BSc MIBA, started working in the Real Estate industry providing management services to foreign investors. Her passion for Real Estate grew from there allowing her to listen to customers and learn how to best serve their needs. As a real estate investor, Jessica grew her personal portfolio to include single family homes and multifamily apartment buildings. While investing in Real Estate for over 15 years, for others and for herself, Jessica discovered the challenge owning and managing properties on a day-to-day basis. In 2010, Jessica founded JMK Property Investment to fulfill the need for a dedicated service-focused property management & real estate investment company. She then expanded the company’s offering to include ground-up construction services. Jessica has helped investors acquire, remodel & build, and manage real estate assets in Florida, the US and abroad. Jessica holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Florida International University (FIU) and a Masters of International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Stylianos G. Vayanos, MBA, PhD, PhD, is the Director of Acquisitions at JMK Property Investment, LLC. Throughout his career, Dr. Vayanos has garnered extensive knowledge of the South Florida market, as he sourced real estate opportunities, raised capital and developed profitable properties in local communities. To-date, Dr. Vayanos has been involved in the acquisition, funding, financing, design, permitting, construction, stabilization, refinancing, property management and sale of several single-family homes, as well as 1,000+ multifamily, lodging, retail and office units in Brickell, Little Havana, Coconut Grove and Upper East Side, in Miami, Florida. Additionally, Dr. Vayanos has been involved in the raising of $100MM+ in Equity & Mezzanine Financing, as well as $120MM+ in Debt Financing. Dr. Vayanos holds a PhD in Business Ethics from Boston College Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Athens School of Philosophy in Athens, Greece, an MBA in Strategic Management from Boston College Carrol Graduate School of Management, a ThM, MDiv, MTS, and BA from Hellenic College / Holy Cross. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida and speaks English, Spanish and Greek. He has been a guest lecturer at Florida International University (FIU) College of Business Administration in the Department of Finance and Real Estate. Dr. Vayanos also holds a Certificate in Construction Project Management from Columbia University.
Hermes Paz has joined JMK as Director of Construction and will lead JMK’s rehab & ground-up construction projects. He will be directly involved in the estimating for all JMK construction projects, will lead the team of project managers, will directly coordinate the sub-contracting process and will oversee each project to ensure on-time and on-budget completion. Hermes will focus on growing the Construction Division of JMK not only for the Miami JMK office, but also for the Fort Myers office that JMK will open later this year. Hermes has 15+ years of estimating and construction project management experience in the South Florida market, as well as a notable formal education in Business Administration and Management, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
Diana runs the property management operation at JMK. After working for an investor managing over X units, Diana joined JMK initially as a property manager overseeing Homeowner Association. With a track record managing the JMK portfolio successfully, Diana was then promoted to oversee the entire property management division. Diana’s diligence in documenting and structuring processes combined with her ability to listen and resolve problems makes her well suited for her new leadership role at JMK. Diana continues to expand the JMK property management portfolio.
Arlene Melendez is the Business Development Director for JMK She has 18+ years of construction and development experience starting with Turner Construction Company in 2001 where she gained knowledge of a wide range of building types and expertise in luxury condominium developments. From there Arlene joined The City of Miami Beach’s Capital Improvements Department serving as a liaison between the community and the construction office to ensure service was provided and goals were met. She was also in charge of communicating future project plans to the City’s Commission Meetings alongside the Procurement Director. Arlene then joined the MCM Construction team being responsible for the company’s construction contracts in South Florida as well as Panama. Most recently Arlene was running her own construction consulting company. Focusing on the renovation and new construction of luxury homes. Arlene is a Miami Native; she graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in Business as well as obtaining her Paralegal Certificate.
Nicolas holds a Bachelor of Social Communication from Universidad Catolica Argentina. Antonio Nicolas Peix (aka “Nico”) is a Entrepreneur and a Construction Project Manager for JMK. Prior to joining JMK, Nico was a consultant for Mandelbrot S.A., a real estate company in Argentina. Nico has amassed extensive experience in construction as Project Manager of Miami Properties Investors during the period of 2017-2019. During that period he focused in the Investment and Management of various properties, as well as in raising capital from Latin American investors, which led to more than 30 value-add real estate projects in South Florida. Nico holds a Bachelor of Social Communication from Universidad Catolica Argentina. Within his role as Project Manager at JMK, Nico collaborates with the JMK team searching new investors, advise them on the purchase and investment of their capital. Looking for new opportunities for clients in South Florida and leading the team to achieve the established goal. Also Nico leads and organizes the JMK remodeling and construction projects at its headquarters in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Franz Bayona oversees all permitting and inspection matters for JMK. He works closely with the General Contracting and Property Management divisions of JMK throughout the evolution of each project as needed.During his 30+ year career Franz developed a vast network and an incomparable expertise in the Real Estate Development and Construction industry. He worked as Owner’s Representative for real estate development firms handling all permitting and construction matters for several ground-up or existing building projects. The portfolio of Franz’s project involvement includes, among others, Icon Brickell, Axis Brickell, Brickell City Center, Millicento Brickell, Echo Brickell, Alton Pointe Miami Beach, Oceana Key Biscayne, Fifth & Alton Miami Beach, Trump Hollywood, University of Miami Coral Gables, Everglades By The Bay Downtown Miami, Dolphin Stadium, Lincoln Park, several Bank conversions, Aurora Apartments, Monserrate Apartments, Miramar Apartments, Vedado Apartments, Park View Apartments and many others.
Lazaro Rosell is a General Contractor at JMK. During his 18+ years of experience in the South Florida construction industry Lazaro has been involved with a large portfolio of residential and commercial buildings, both rehab and ground-up construction. Lazaro began his career as an Assistant Project Manager and evolved into Director of Project Construction and Vice President of Construction in his career positions prior to joining JMK. His experience includes Union and Open-Shop environments with a thorough understanding of complex construction processes and the ability to lead projects successfully from pre-construction to completion, on-time and on-budget. Lazaro’s strong communication and management skills enhance JMK’s process-driven management approach. Within his role as General Contractor at JMK, Lazaro collaborates with the JMK team in design management, value-engineering, construction bidding, project scheduling, construction management, and contractor management. He holds a General Construction License from the State of Florida and a degree in Mathematics from Miami-Dade College.
Fuad Nasib is a project manager at JMK. Prior to joining JMK, Fuad gathered extensive sales and management skills while working for 5+ years in the Hospitality industry. His hands-on experience within fast-paced environments equipped Fuad with the skills needed in the construction industry to effectively manage high-stress situations and make effective decisions under pressure. Thoughout his carrer, Fuad has been responsible for hiring, talent management and payroll. He is currently managing the various vendor and sub-contractor relationships for JMK, as well as the construction day-to-day operations, training, and scheduling. He is also involved in the Property Management Division of JMK and assists the Property Management team in the effective and efficient operation of JMK’s portfolio.
Aside from being a marketing genius and an operation expert, Vasile is before all a visionary. He joined London Foster when it has only a few realtors. With his strategic thinking and focus on results, Vasile transformed the business into a leading South Florida brokerage with over 700+ realtors. Vasile has also over 10 years’ experience in international/pre-construction in Florida. Vasile has an in-depth knowledge of the real estate market in South Florida and a passion for helping others. JMK has leverage Vasile’s marketing skills to attract new customers, promote its services and investments, find the best tenants & buyers, and differentiate its offering with a focus on customer service & technology.
Liz is the lead accounting manager at JMK Property Investment. Her focus is primarily on property management. While Liz brings a wealth of experience from a variety of industries, her ability to look at the business beyond the numbers and advise strategically the JMK has set her apart as an invaluable element of the JMK family. Thanks to Liz the financial records of each property are maintained in pristine condition.
Maristela worked as an architect in Brazil since 2004 helping with the development of economic housing in Sao Paola. After moving to Miami, Maristela advanced her career in the corporate world before joining JMK. Now Maristela oversees a portfolio of properties with a focus on maintenance, project management and vendor performance. Maristela is passionate about serving customers known for being a change agent, a problem solver, an effective communicator, a relationship builder and thought leader.
Gustavo has been working with JMK since 2015. He oversees the maintenance team for the properties under management. Gustavo will always go the extra mile to make sure that customers are happy with our service. His focus on customer service and attention to detail make him a key asset to the JMK organization.
